Lead Hadoop DeveloperJob Description Detail:Lead Developer Derivatives Collateral Management Unit – Data ArchivingThis position is currently fully remote and will by a hybrid remote/in office once in office returns.This position will be part of the firms Securities Funding Capital and Liquidity team in New York, NY. Collateral Management team has responsibility to implement and support enterprise-wide Derivatives Stress Testing regulatory initiative. The scope of this work includes participating in building and supporting the overall regulatory implementation.This role will be hands-on development role for our Collateral Management Unit stream using Hadoop, Java, Spark, Scala and its related technologies. This individual will be working with the team to enhance the existing platform and add new features.Responsibilities include the following:- Hands-on development of critical functions/components for the program
- Analyze complex requirements and translates to technical design
- Work closely with lead BAs to understand the functional requirements and translate those into technical implementations
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Develop and foster a positive relationship with team members, department leads and partner with program teams
- Work closely with quality analysts on the preparation of test cases. Coordinate implementation activities across various data provision system
- Propose creative solutions to meet technical and business requirements
- Candidate must have hand-on development activities experience in JAVA, Hadoop, Scala, Spark etc .
Required Qualifications:10+ years of brokerage industry experience or6+ years of securities industry experience5+ years of experience with technical requirements, design, testing, and implementation of tools and technologies10+ years of design and development experience with columnar databases using Parquet or ORC file formats on Hadoop5+ years of Java experience5+ years of Apache Spark design and development experience using Scala, Java, Python or Data Frames with Resilient Distributed Datasets (RDDs)2+ years of Informatica experience1 + year of technology management experience supporting integration activities Desired Qualifications A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams Ability to manage complex initiatives 1+ year of Tableau experience 3+ years of Agile experience
