The Quality Assurance and Control Supervisor (QAQC), working an 8-10 hour rotating shift schedule, is responsible for assisting the QAQC manager in ensuring the Hawaiian Springs quality assurance and control systems are consistently implemented with the highest level of standards and integrity.

Quality Assurance and Control Supervisor duties include:

- Report to the QAQC Manager in respect to QA measures, updates, and status.

- Assist the QAQC Manager with quality assurances to ensure that procedures are established, implemented, maintained, and updated

- Assist with managing, leading, and training Hawaiian Springs (HS) employees with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) according to HS GMP program.

- Assist with audits for Federal, State, Military, and Foreign or private entities.

- Ensure compliance and record keeping for all mandated quality checks, testing, sampling and sanitation activities.

- Assist with tracking and analyzing customer complaint issues or updates within the plant.

- Assist with inventory of plant and QC equipment and supplies.

- Aid with the maintenance of the product and mock recall program.

- Aid with the implementation of the plant security program including but not limited to key control, alarm system, security camera system, physical locks and closures, facility grounds and perimeter security, utilities security, maintains data lines and security systems, maintains sign-in logs of contracted workers and visitors.

- Aid with the maintenance of the Fire Extinguisher and First Aid records according to OSHA rules and regulations.

- Aid with the implementation of the HS Food Defense, Food Safety Systems, Sanitary Operations, and HACCP programs.

- Assist in maintaining certificate of analyses on raw materials, lab equipment, and finished goods.

- Aid in maintaining the integrity of HS well by monitoring well sanitation logs and well records.

- Maintain field laboratory and QC equipment according to state and federal regulations including but not limited to processing water samples, practicing safe techniques, monitoring general trends in source and product water and managing and reporting microbiology logs.

- Perform sanitizing procedures as needed.

- Perform QC checks as well as monitoring and calibrating QC equipment.

- Perform filter changes per designated schedule and/or as needed.

- Assist with startup and shutdown processes as needed.

- Ensure QC checks on production line are upheld with the highest integrity and according to FDA rules and regulations.

Primary Qualifications:

- Knowledge/experience in water quality and public health.

- Familiar with computer programs including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office products (Sharepoint, Outlook, etc.).

- Proven leadership skills, coaching, training, and developing leaders & employees.

- Demonstrate ability to drive continuous improvement and manage to/achieve metrics.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with frontline employees, peers, and executives.

- Ability to provide afterhours support to operations for critical issues – position requires the well to monitored 7 days a week.

- Ability to work independently and provide own administration support.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds.

- Ability to work in hot and humid areas, with the use of a respirator.

- Comfortable working around production equipment.

Secondary Qualifications:

- Knowledge in manufacturing and production.

- Knowledge/experience in watershed use, and groundwater flow.

- Background in microbiology.

- PCQI certified according to the food safety preventive controls alliance regarding preventive controls for human food.

- HACCP certified.

- Experience working in analytical laboratories or settings.

Education:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- College Diploma or Trade School Graduate is a plus.

General requirements:

- Must have means of transportation.

- Professional appearance is mandatory: well groomed, covered shoes, shorts, and company uniform.

- Health and personal hygiene compliance with the Federal and Hawaii ‘Good Manufacturing Practices-Food Plant requirements’ is mandatory.
