Our company is looking for a focused, detail oriented and industrious candidate to join our team. Ideal candidates will be team-players with a positive, can-do attitude.

The Manufacturing Mechanic, working an 8-10 hour rotating shift schedule, is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing equipment is maintained, repaired, and updated as needed for an efficient, safe manufacturing environment and meets regulatory requirements.

Mechanic Technician responsibilities include:

- Maintenance and repairs of equipment as needed

- Recommendation, evaluation, and installation of new equipment and/or line improvements in collaboration with the chief engineer.

- Complying with all company policies and procedures including safety and maintaining clean, safe work areas.

- Additional duties may be assigned by management.

Education and Experience:

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- College Diploma or Trade School Graduate is a plus.

- Previous work in a manufacturing environment or food plant operations is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:

- Possess general maintenance skills

- Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail

- Ability to speak clearly as well as read, write, and comprehend documents written in English.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages.

- Assembly line operator skills are a plus.

- Millwright, welding, electrical, plumbing, building, PLC troubleshooting skills are preferred.

- Knowledge of OSHA regulations would be a plus.

Physical requirements:

- This position is very active and requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, type and climb throughout the day.

- Strong hand-eye coordination, vision (correctable to 20/20) and manual dexterity to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, lift, pull, manipulate, or assemble very small objects is required.

- Qualified individuals must be able to frequently lift/push/pull/move items weighing up to 50lbs.

General requirements:

- Must have means of transportation.

- Professional appearance is mandatory: well groomed, covered shoes, shorts, and company uniform.

- Health and personal hygiene compliance with the Federal and Hawaii ‘Good Manufacturing Practices-Food Plant requirements’ is mandatory.
