Looking for a bright, motivated

Financial Support Analyst to join our IT team. The type of person who is outgoing, truly listens, and steps outside their role to add value wherever they can. Someone who is driven to get things done and views obstacles as an exciting challenge that demands a creative solution. The best fit candidate will support, maintain, troubleshoot various in-house and outsourced applications within the bank and provide end-user application support and interface with vendors as needed. The role is working with vendor facing and providing tech support. Includes data extracts to Head Office.

YOUR FOCUS:
  • You have Financial/banking industry experience
  • You have knowledge of Treasury Application, Finastra OPICS
  • You have advanced excel skill
  • You have an in-depth experience with SQL skills Queries You have the ability to upgrade existing VB6 applications to VB.NE
  • Project management is not a required skill, but preferred
  • You have Good communication and planning skills are required

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support various outsourced applications by in depth analysis of an issue and consulting with the system vendor.
  • Coordinate, Install, test, support various system upgrades.
  • Support interfaces among many banking systems.
  • Day to day systems administration of several In-House systems.
  • Assists in system design and analysis. Prepares system documentation, performs testing, debugging, adjusting and modification functions as required.
  • Assist various bank department by creating ad hoc and periodic reports from various in-house and outsourced applications.
  • Assist IT Operations with end of day tasks and support, when needed.
  • Improves existing systems by adapting the programs to user requirements. Prepares programs for new and existing applications, verifies that the logic used is workable and efficient. Troubleshoot whenever complications arise.
  • Writes new programs or makes modifications to existing programs, which can be complex in nature.
  • Refines flowcharts, adjusting in the program to eliminate inefficiencies or to conform to instructions.
  • Maintains awareness of systems capabilities and applications while keeping abreast of operational techniques and technological developments.
  • Accepts assignments to analyze segments of projects, prepares and documents systems and follows through with testing, debugging, adjusting and modifying as required.
  • Participate in data collection for various audit and regulatory exams.
  • Improves existing systems by adapting the reports to user requirements. Prepares various reports for new and existing applications, verifies that the logic used is workable and efficient. Troubleshoot whenever complications arise.
  • Writes new Crystal and WEBI reports or makes modifications to existing reports, which can be complex in nature.

Education: Bachelor's degree or work experience equivalent

Required: 3 plus years of financial and IT programming knowledge
