POSITION OVERVIEW

Drive acceleration of Guerlain’s E-Business efforts, including strategic planning and key digital marketing efforts across performance marketing, paid media, and CRM to achieve Guerlain.com goals.

  • Full time

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

E-Commerce

  • Support growth of e-commerce in the U.S.
  • Lead & execute best in class site merchandising & UX efforts
    • Closely monitor site analytics and competition to identify areas of opportunity & UX improvement
    • Ensure timely and strategic site merchandising updates in partnership with HQ
    • Liaise with HQ to identify local merchandising strategy in line with global brand image
    • Review product copy for E-Commerce to ensure it is fully SEO optimized and relevant for U.S. market
  • Lead developer partnership & manage cadenced roll-out calendar, ensuring the execution and roll-out of new features is flawless
  • Manage outreach and relationship with external agencies for web developments or enhancements
  • Lead weekly conversations between Supply, IT, HQ to help speed up resolution of technical glitches & bugs
  • Develop and manage annual budget, including the forecasting & allocation of samples, gifting materials, etc.
  • Work in partnership with product leads & sales team to ensure most productive assortment is featured on site and forecast is properly set to limit potential stock shortages
  • Manage promotional calendar, in synchronization with the Marketing calendar to increase e-business sales
  • Partner with Communications Manager & PR agency to drive traffic to site and drive new customer acquisition

Performance Marketing/Paid Media

  • Drive forward performance marketing/paid media efforts with a focus on driving ROI
  • Strategize strong year-long media plans to further awareness & conversion-driving brand goals
  • Manage paid media relationship with paid social, search, and affiliate agencies
  • Write concise and strategic briefs for paid media efforts and partner closely with internal & external teams to elevate creative output
  • Leverage insights from past campaign learnings, Google/Facebook performance scorecards, Consumer Insights research and industry reports to inform strategic approach
  • Include recommendations for emerging platforms, new ad formats and disruptive technology to test for major campaigns
  • Drive forward paid search efforts in maximizing ROAS
  • Support E-Retailer Co-op media strategy to maximize brand goals with key retailers

CRM

  • Manage development and deployment of all CRM initiatives to drive personalized, engaging customer experiences, that are geared towards improving our KPIs and optimizing ROI on all campaigns.
  • Drive forward brand CRM efforts and planning across full year
  • Further brand CRM initiatives that address business strategy in driving consumer retention and loyalty
  • Implement retention strategies to retain all new and existing customers across all channels
  • Issue monthly CRM KPI metric reports - clearly summarize and communicate results and findings in monthly reports to optimize future campaigns
  • Complete analysis of all campaigns using corporate reporting tools to analyze performance / ROI.
  • Use database analytics to track customer behavior and engagement (e.g., new vs existing customer rates, repeat purchase rates) and develop communication strategies to maximize annual spend and retention and reduce 1x buyer rate
  • Develop and manage annual budget, including the forecasting & allocation of samples to support campaigns
  • Identify emails to deploy in partnership with HQ Paris team
  • Execute lead generation campaigns to help accelerate CRM efforts
  • Scan competition for best-in-class examples

Digital Marketing

  • Identify new digital marketing opportunities that could help lead to increased conversion & awareness
  • Manage local content creation needs and liaise with HQ team on local requirements
  • Liaise with communication managers to ensure alignment with influencer and PR efforts

Competitive Landscape

  • Provide weekly updates on what E-Business competitors look like online, including on mobile and social media, with specific callouts to innovation and newness
  • Monitor Google trends and paid search trends

Director of Digital

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s/MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing/e-commerce/CRM preferably within prestige fragrance and beauty industry
  • Strong CRM experience with proven success in researching and delivering programs and implementing effective direct marketing communication
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong computer skills
  • Proficiency in Frenchpreferred but not required
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment
  • Based partially in New York corporate office and partially remote
