A local cutting edge wood products company that is melding the historic timber industry of the Flathead Valley with the technology of the 21st century is looking for a Planer Operator to add to their ever-growing team. Starting wage is $16.00 depending on experience!

Overview:

In this role you would be responsible for learning to run lumber equipment until you can run at assigned production levels and then operate planer position and optimize process performance including set up and alignment. Monitor planer performance including safely maximizing up-time, production flow and product quality. Perform preventative maintenance including but not limited to minor repairs to ensure machine reliability and escalate machine maintenance needs appropriately. Additionally, contribute to a team environment by cross training and filling in for other operators as needed.

Requirements:

Maintains high levels of productivity and quality

Quick attention to mechanical issues, identifying quality concerns, and understanding the production threshold of the equipment

Entrepreneurial, independent thinker to identify ways to improve production quantity and quality.

Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

Performing general housekeeping duties to aid in keeping machinery functioning properly, to reduce hazards, and maintain the appearance of the plant

Details:

Schedule is Monday through Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm with Fridays as needed to meet project deadlines. Starting wage is $16.00 depending on experience. Benefits and PTO are available once you roll over to their payroll.
