Demonstrated skill in applying IT experience in business systems in a large-scale environment. Experience in utility business applications will be a plus. Strong background in software development, programming and testing in relational databases with a focus on DB2. Demonstrated ability to transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the appropriate language, mainly COBOL and SQL. Experience with IBM Operating systems and tools such as Intertest, IOF, Optim, Endevor is preferred. Other experiences and qualities desired include: ability to participate effectively in interpersonal exchange and understanding, demonstrated ability to seek out and to understand customers' issues, conceptual thinking and reasoning abilities, demonstrated competency in logical and analytical thinking, demonstrated ability to perform as technical expert in field, ability to work independently a must, good communicator, achievement orientation, self-starter, self-control, concern for quality, flexibility.
