LASER OPERATOR

Job Description:

We are looking for someone to supplement our day shift (7am – 3:30pm) who can setup and safely operate nitrogen and fiber optic lasers to produce quality metal parts. This person should be detail oriented, have good communication skills, and can work individually or with others.

Essential Job Duties:

Set up machinery and adjust as necessary to improve performance and quality

Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance

Make sure that parts are within tolerances and to print

Determine which tooling will be best used

Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency

Clean machinery and maintain a clean work area

Perform “first article inspections” to ensure that product is within customer specifications

Qualifications and Experience:

2+ years minimum experience with Bystronic Fiber Laser or equivalent, 60” x 120” max sheet size

High School diploma or equivalent

3+ years work experience w/stainless, mild steel and aluminum

Working within specific tolerances

Proficiency in reading blueprints

Using measuring tools to insure tolerances are within customers specifications

Working overtime when needed

Ability to lift up to 45 lbs

Forklift experience preferred

Attention to detail

Excellent organizational skills, maintaining materials and keeping work area clean

Excellent communication skills
