Engineer II, Quality and OPEXOn behalf of our client in GA seeking Quality Engineer with manufacturing/equipment refurbishment experience (5+ years). OPEX experience is a plus.Summary - The Engineer II Quality and OPEX is responsible for HSE, Quality, Lean Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Engineering functions.Responsibilities:

  • Health Safety and Environmental:
  • Keep control over operational and environmental permits
  • Assisting with local safety training
  • Job Safety Analysis and Ergonomics
  • Processing of Incident reports
  • Coordinate Safety audits
  • Monthly KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions
Quality:
  • Quality system monitoring
  • Assist on customer complaints root cause investigation, and follow up of corrective actions
  • CMM management, calibration, training and maintenance
  • Coordinate Internal Quality audits
  • Monthly KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions Operations Excellence:
  • Promote lean culture throughout the facility
  • Define plans for implementation of lean tools (5s, Kaizen, Shop visual management, etc.)
  • Coordinate continuous improvement workshops and projects
  • Coordinate OPEX audits
  • Monthly KPI analysis, and tracking of corrective actions
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Generate and update process documentation; Work Instructions, Flow charts, PFMEA, etc.
  • Plant layout and work stations improvement Qualifications -
  • Industrial Engineering or related field Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient with computers applications MS Office suite, CAD, including electronic document control and distribution
  • Experience working with automation and robots
  • Experience with Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Ergonomics Experience with environmental management systems
  • Basic knowledge of Quality systems
  • Knowledge and experience applying Lean tools, capable of teaching and coaching other team members
  • Exceptional multi-tasking skills and ability to independently manage multiple tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills, across different levels of the organization.
Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand for an extended amount of time, walk and reach with hands and arms. Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
