TITLE: Global Mainframe Senior Expert and Technologist

Key skills a must for consideration
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written and social skills.
  • 10+ years plus of proven technical leadership in the latest Z Series technology Z15 and Z Platform with new cloud and AIOPS experience.
  • Extensive experience in large deployments on Parallel Sysplex, configurations troubleshooting and being part of major incidents and service disruption resolution.
  • As an individual contributor role is important to demonstrate you leading vs. managing skill in a high performing teams
  • Strong working knowledge of IBM Z Hardware and Software platform architecture, understanding and experience in Digital transformation on the Mainframe with Web and Mobility devices new workloads, a must WebSphere, Z Connect and CICS.
  • Z Platform Technical Expert and process and operational proven track as a Z technical SME, not a manager of people.
  • Proven history of experience leading both a direct and virtual team as a technical SME

What is the Career opportunity we have?
  • At the CTI Global Command Center we operate multiple services and technologies and are currently seeking a talented Technical lead in our Mainframe platform.
  • The Mainframe Platform Technical Lead is a key part of the CTI Command Center management Team.
  • As the mainframe lead you will own a process driven technology operations function providing expertise and support for high visibility issues and major incidents including Service Monitoring, interacting with Level-1 and Level-2 Infrastructure and Batch processing Support, also includes infrastructure Change Implementations.
  • This is all done from our state of the art regional Command Centers in partnership with the Platform Leads for other services and in collaboration with our other Operations centers.
  • This role will have a direct reporting line into the Mainframe Global Command Center Head in order to foster collaboration and consistency expertise and critical support for the major incidents and incidents for rapid resolution
  • Being a Technology leadership role it is expected that you will demonstrate senior level competency in the technical discipline (Mainframe and all technologies deployed in the Z Series) and have an operational aptitude to drive high level of expertise, training, new process demonstrated execution and improvement initiatives.

FUNCTIONAL ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • In this role you will be responsible to participate in all aspects of the technology team and function across the global organization. Responsibilities Include: Direct interaction, people technical lead and training, reporting to the Mainframe ECC Head and lead as needed and assigned professionals based in Warsaw and Dallas, Costa Rica and Chennai, operational oversight to implement process and locate improvements opportunities.
  • Accountable to propose process improvements, automation initiatives in behalf of Mainframe ECC team, productivity and process optimization, project management, and process creation/enhancement. Special assignments and upskills projects for the team as individual contributor.
  • This is not a manager of people position is a high technical expert and lead position.
  • You will work together with the department Head and all the technical staff to ensure proper execution of processes. This includes direct engagement in incidents and acting as the service owner as directed. Technical subgroups to focus and targets for process improvements.
  • You will have the opportunity to learn about risk and governance in support of audit reviews as well as certifications like ISO 20001 and 9001.
  • Key to your success will be to bring a proven track to increase of expertise level of the team, development of other talented people. We view this as the first priority for our leaders.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONAL PREFERENCES:
  • General education requirement 4yr/bachelor’s degree preferred and additional proven education or training
  • 10+ years of enterprise mainframe operations support experience is required
  • 10+ year of professional experience in a global/multi-national organization is helpful
