Role: Sr Solution Architect (with L&A implementation) Duration: 1-year contract Location: Chicago, IL (remote for now but must be in the office once COVID lifted) Top skills:

  • Expert in architecting software-based solutions and system integration patterns.
  • Expert communicator.
  • Expert in North American version of the Majesco (L&A) policy software stack (Issuance, billing, claims, distribution).
Nice to have skills: 1. Strong understanding of legacy batch processes (Mainframe, AS/400, etc.) 2. Working experience with tier 1 cloud providers 3. Working experience compiling technical designs from requirements and delivering an end to end solution JOB SUMMARY:Individual contributor providing the highest level of expertise for development, specification and communication of the company's policy administration platform architecture plan, the infrastructure components required to support it, and in the integration of corporate and business area architectures. Leads multiple initiatives for the area. Develops innovative and effective solutions for the most diverse and complex business challenges.The Majesco solution Architect will be closely aligned to the global enterprise architecture practice and key business units to help advance business capabilities across the policy and underwriting lifecycle integration, submission intake, reporting, printing, etc.Experience with the US release of Majesco PAS (L&A version preferred).Knowledge of design and implementation of enterprise workflow systems, distributed architectures (SaaS, PaaS), and intranet/internet architecture.Experience designing technology solutions for policy administration and customer\ agent-facing portal.A senior-level knowledge of the system development life cycle, and system and application program development technological alternatives and architecture methodologies for multi-platform (Mainframe, AS/400) environments.Must be competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of system architecture design using state of the art rules/framework-based architecture, object-oriented component analysis and development, and proficiency in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, and enterprise application architecture.Strong knowledge of contemporary technology and business trends that allows the architecture to solve problems in a creative and cost-effective manner.This role will be aligned with a business domain, so deep knowledge of insurance (e.g., UW, Claim, Policy Issuance) functions is necessary.Excellent communication and interpersonal and consultative skills to work effectively with vendors, clients, peers, and IT management.Must be able to clearly communicate complex technical and business concepts both to business partners and team members.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Working knowledge of systems architectural concepts and frameworks like TOGAF preferred.Experience developing 3 5-year roadmaps outlining the evolution of the enterprise application portfolios from current to future state.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:a) Hands-on experience implementing solutions using LOW/NO Code solutions and APIsb) Experience in working as a Solution Architect to design solutions using platform or productb) Programming experience on Java or any other Object-Oriented language a plusc) Experience in working on any relational database like SQL Server or Oracled) Ability to perform design, effort estimations, and agile-based executione) Ability to perform overall solution architecture and take lead in capturing and understanding business requirements, translating them into technical design, and implementing best-fit solution for customer.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's or above degree in Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
