You will be part of a creative day program in a Cedars home offering a variety of activities such as cooking, arts and crafts and gardening We are currently looking for staff available to work weekdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This position is currently temporary, part-time which may lead into a full-time permanent position. All Cedars staff work to ensure that residents and participants are supported to live a self-directed life and are treated with dignity and respect.

This position is responsible for supporting the daily living activities of adults with intellectual, developmental disabilities.

Maintain a clean, safe and healthy home environment.

Assist residents with cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, and other creative activities.

You may need to assist with personal hygiene needs.

Support with art projects (music, dance), 3- D art (including designing for 3-D printers), fine art (drawing,

painting) bookmaking, silk screen, wearable art.

Someone who can teach art it in a simple language, creatively, with patience.

Loves to experiment with ideas and loves to pass on the joy of trying new things to our artists.

Technically savvy helpful.

General Qualifications:

Love of people along with a desire to help others achieve their potential.

Common sense, good judgment, ability to think ahead, and take initiative.

Experience with adults with intellectual developmental disabilities is helpful.

Ability to use email and computer is necessary.

Have current CPR and First Aid certifications or ability to acquire it.

MUST be able to drive a regular passenger van: Valid California driver’s license, Clean DMV record.

Need to pass criminal background check, have a clear TB Test as well as COVID-19 (we will set up these appointments for you).

Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbally.
