We are in the process of moving our on premise reporting & data infrastructure to a cloud based solution and have an immediate opening for a technical lead to help guide that journey.Responsibilities:Providing guidance on implementing a cloud based Data Lake/Analytics platform strategyStaying current on emerging data and cloud technologies to assist with building current and target state architecturesProviding technical leadership and best practices on how data is acquired, structured, stored, processed, delivered, and visualized in a cloud environmentResearching and recommending the appropriate technologies and services for the development of data management capabilities in data warehousing, metadata management, ETL, data streaming, and moreCollaborating with business teams to understand their reporting and analytics needs and then helping design the solutions to meet themSkills: Minimum Qualifications:5+ years' experience working in an environment focusing on data initiatives/projects5+ years' experience in software development leveraging a variety of languages such as Java, Python, Scala etc.3+ years' experience architecting solutions within a Big Data environment (preferably in the cloud)1-2 years' experience designing, deploying and/or managing services in AWS with an understanding of how to manage cloud resources economicallyExcellent communication and presentation skillsKeywords:Education: Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within the Insurance industry with a strong understanding of related data
• Experience with AWS Data Warehouse based services (eg. S3, Glue/Crawlers, Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, EMR)
• Experience with designing and implementing development frameworks in PySpark
• Experience with AWS serverless solutions (eg. Lambda/Fargate)
• Understanding of various BI Tools (eg. Cognos, Tableau, AWS Quicksight)
• Experience with continuous integration tools (eg. Git, Jenkins)
• Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems (eg. Kubernetes, Docker)
• Experience implementing data security using database and non-database technologies
