Title: Field Operations SupervisorLocation: Alexandria, VA and surrounding areasDirect Hire Position w/benefits Supervise service, maintenance and cleaning technicians throughout their assigned region. Responsible for ensuring that stations are properly inspected, maintained, repaired and cleaned by service technician or self-performing.Provide leadership, mentoring, motivation and feedback to service technicians assigned to you. Ensure technicians operate safely and comply with standard operating procedures available. Foster a team and collaborative environment amongst the team and across the Operations group as a whole.Review service orders and recommend improvements to equipment located at fueling stations which operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Collaborate with Maintenance Planner to assign Routes and Preventive maintenance routines to technicians. Follow up daily ensuring completion of assigned tasks.It is expected that the majority of your time (51% of your work time) is dedicated to performing the following job duties:Perform quality control inspections of fueling locations and equipment to determine proper and normal operating conditions. Provide constructive feedback from these inspections and mentor service technicians to continually improve the quality of service.Detect and correct faulty and malfunctioning mechanical and electrical components, devices and equipment related to "Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), "Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and "Hydrogen fueling equipment.Clean and maintain fueling locations by: picking up trash, emptying trash cans and dumpsters, hand cleaning and polishing of fueling equipment, painting, canopy, lot, islands, surrounding landscaping, in and outside of enclosures.Install, remove and modify fueling locations and equipment.Maintain all fueling related equipment and structures in accordance with manufactures and Clean Energy guide lines.Maintain fueling sites compliance with CUPA's rules and regulations.Travel to or between company sites to perform job responsibilities.Electrical:Inspect, maintain and adjust electrical equipment such as but not limited to electrical wiring, conduit, panels, switch gear, switches, gauges, transducers, solenoids, gas dryers, actuators, motors, meters, frequency drives and controls for safe and proper operating condition. Must have a strong working knowledge and be able to demonstrate ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems such as current overloads, ground faults, open circuits and faulty relay logic, also should be able to monitor, check and correct phase imbalances, current draw, low voltage power supply's, pressure transmitters, relay logic and programmable logic control operation.Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals.Mechanical:Inspect, maintain and adjust mechanical equipment such as but not limited to, compressors pumps, engines, intercoolers, after coolers, heat exchangers, piping, tubing, fittings, filters, traps, gas dryers, fasteners, valves and actuators for safe and proper operating condition.Must have a strong working knowledge and be able to demonstrate the ability to diagnose and repair such mechanical problems as high and low-pressure gas flow restrictions, interstage gas compressor temperatures and pressures, pressure regulator variance and should be have a strong understanding and be able to monitor, interpret, check and correct operational trends in reciprocating and screw type gas compressors. Repair, replace, and adjust malfunctioning equipment to restore proper operating condition specified in regulations and repair manuals.Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervise one or more employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, or related field plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience and some management/supervisory or lead experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
