Stefanini Group is hiring for an Operations Support Engineer in Greensboro, NC! Job Summary: This position is project team member role as Chassis Dyno Operations Support Engineer for the Complete Vehicle Lab (CVL) Project. The CVL project involves; removing all test and facility equipment from the thirty year old lab, replacing with new, adding the key project driver requirement of fuel economy testing capabilities, a new more capable chassis dyno and air circuit, and adding climatic control. As operations support engineer you will support the lab operations team by developing operations procedures and documentation ranging from SOP to safety to maintenance. The candidate will work closely and in collaboration with the CVL operations team members responsible for operations and maintenance and other groups responsible for environmental, health, and safety. The project role supports the final phase of the project to bring the CVL lab on line with procedures and training in place for successful operations. Responsibilities: Support the Senior Operations Engineer in the creation and development of all operations procedures and documentation according to the CVL Operations Documentation Work Plan as prepared by the current chassis dyno lab operations teamUnder the guidance of the Senior Operations Engineer, development operations documentation for; SOP"s, maintenance, job-safety analysis/procedures, safety plans, environmental, and 5S including mining out best practice examples to be used as templates for CVL Desired skills and experience include capabilities to support the Senior Operations Engineer in development of tools consisting of tables, graphs, etc. to extract and analyze test dataBuild and construct a CVL specific maintenance program utilizing the compnay"s preferred maintenance software. This includes responsibility for extracting information for the new equipment/systems, building spreadsheets appropriate to contain the information as a means to both review with the current operations team and as input to build the program out within the maintenance softwareUnderstand, utilize, and translate project specific documentation into the various operations procedures and documentation. Project specific documents span a wide range including; construction documents, submittals, equipment IOM"s, etc.Responsibilities may include select project completion related tasks as assigned; supporting punch list related activities, organizing/compiling documentation, review of O&M manuals from suppliers, and record drawingsReport results and updates to Testing Technology Leader, CVL project manager, and Senior Operations Engineer, in an efficient way according to defined expectationsCollaborate with global counter parts in terms of chassis dynamometer to leverage lessons learned for global dyno systemsResponsibilities require working on site at Greensboro Campus. Once established and deliverables are clear, some activities may be considered to be performed off site on a case by case basis Qualifications & Requirements:Minimum BSc degree required in Mechanical, Electrical or similarDesired automotive testing experienceMaintenance and safety program experience with an operating companyDesired understanding of test equipment & systems and facility support systemsMicrosoft Excel advanced and general computer skills is requiredData base software experience utilizing tools to build up the maintenance software systemExcellent communication and organizational skills are requiredGreat work ethic and attention to details is requiredAbility to efficiently work in teams is necessaryTime management, self-starter, can work independently toward deadlines Exciting opportunity awaits!
