We have new openings to join our West Palm Beach facility and are looking for talented and competent CNC Mill/Lathe machinists to work our First Shift that thrive in a fast-paced environment. Our facility thrives on making quality low volume, high precision parts within the ISO and AS9100 quality system for a portfolio of premier customers in commercial, industrial, military and aerospace arenas.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Operate CNC 4 axis Mill/Turn Machines. Operate the machines to perform a series of operations such as turning, boring, threading, facing, grinding, drilling and milling. May work directly with offline programmers that utilize CAM software, simulation software and 3D Models generated in Solidworks to support machining and process development.

Work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, Para solids, specifications, job orders, tooling instructions and standard charts. Make required adjustments to machinery to compensate for material tooling, machine or program conditions. Troubleshoot and resolve various types of operating difficulties. Be able to provide feedback on programs and correct cutting tools to use to achieve required dimensions and finish tolerances; be able to measure using micrometers and other associated tools; be able to hold tight tolerances within. 001”; be able to maintain proper and accurate records, including inspection reports.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to read and edit CNC Mill/Lathe programs

Ability and experience in using G and M Code required

Experienced in 4 Jaw chuck setup preferred

Experience using integrated gaging routines

Ability to calculate using fractions and decimals as well as identify radii required

Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, etc. required

Ability to properly use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, verniers and calipers and other hand inspection equipment.

Familiarity with cutting tools; their applications and uses; and other tools associated with metal cutting equipment

CNC Machine Operation

Ability to adapt to quick changes in schedule

Work effectively and efficiently to produce quality parts

Work in a team environment and take ownership of the position to provide the best quality product for our customers

Troubleshoot non-conforming or unexpected results; adjust programs as necessary.

Any other duties assigned as needed

Required Qualifications (Required for the Job)

Experience in any modern CAM software – Master Cam and Cam Works a plus.

Read and interpret GD&T, blueprints and related technical documents.

Ability to properly use micrometers, verniers and calipers

2+ years' experience machining tight tolerance parts in a short run/job shop environment.

Experience with Fanuc and/or Okuma controls.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
