. Title: Process Designer Location: Hartwell, GA Duration: 18 Months
Job Description: As a Process Designer, you're an integral part of planning, designing and providing graphic support for all phases of process engineering work. You'll develop system arrangements and handle a multitude of design details within process, packaging, civil and mechanical design. In addition, you will be responsible for providing technical process support to operating facilities including but not limited to systems analysis, scope development and evaluation of alternate technologies and methods. As a Process Designer at client, you'll have the opportunity to utilize the "top of the line" plan design suite software and contribute to both developmental and capital projects. Based at client's, your larger engineering team will provide you with the right support and resources for your success. This team operates much like an internal engineering firm, with the opportunity to become a subject matter expert on the technical side of pet care and see every part of the production process from start to finish.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan, conduct and coordinate detailed phases of the process engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
  • Coordinate and manage work by outside consultants.
  • Plans and implements investigation and analysis in problem areas or areas of significant opportunity for process improvement.
  • Position requires conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials and difficult coordination requirements.
  • Collaborate and contribute successfully with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Advise operating staff and project teams relative to technical process issues and problems.
  • Serve as the technical specialist in the application of theories, concepts, principals, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility (i.e., subject matter, function, type of facility or equipment, or product).
  • Evaluating alternative technologies and methods
  • Keep abreast of new methods and developments affecting the Division for the purpose of recommending changes in emphasis of programs or new programs warranted by such developments.
  • Has full technical responsibility for organizing, executing and coordinating assignments.
  • Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside his/her organizations with responsibility for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to his/her field.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Engineering, Drafting or related
  • 1+ years experience in construction support, food processing, and/or piping and instrumentation design (P&ID)
  • Experience with AutoCAD 3D, Plant 3D, Navisworks and/or BIM 360
