Relocation available, no sponsorship; The Lead Cloud Applications Developer position is responsible for creating and building cutting-edge digital experiences. The Lead Developer is responsible for design, integration, and implementation of applications software in a Cloud service provider environment that supports the company business strategies and objectives. The Lead Developer will utilize technical skills and expertise in microservice programming, data engineering, web technologies, and the Cloud. This role provides technical consulting to management, business users, and technical associates. The Lead Developer works closely with other developers as a mentor.

Strategy & Planning

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Experience
  • 8+ years of IT experience
  • 6+ years of experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • 6+ years of object oriented development experience (not limited to Java or .NET)
  • 2+ years of experience developing applications in the Cloud
  • Proven ability to work with customers to build and formulate business requirements
  • Experience with service-oriented architectures and methodologies
  • Experience with any source code control systems such as Git or SVN
  • Experience with implementing microservice architectures and Kubernetes
  • Experience with twelve-factor app methodology
  • Experience with automated testing methodologies and tools
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and frameworks
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Ansible or Jenkins X
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
  • Experience with full stack web application development
  • Experience in a Database Management System
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
  • Experience building web services (SOAP, REST)

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience refactoring applications to be Cloud native
  • Application performance monitoring (Dynatrace or similar)
  • Good knowledge of LDAP concepts and experience working with an LDAP Directory
  • Experience with logging tools such as Splunk, Azure OMS, or Azure Application Insights
