Sr. Mechanical Project Planner Apex Systems is looking for a Sr. Mechanical Project Planner for one of our largest clients in South Florida. The ideal candidate, in addition to meeting the requirements below, will have a flexible schedule and be able to work on holidays(as needed) and on call 7 days a week. Please review the job description below and if you would like to hear more about the opportunity send a copy of your resume to Danielle Lorenzen at Job Description: Long term project scope identification, planning and budgeting, procurement, managing cost performance of our projects and assets; interact with plant customers to understand planning assignment specifics; coordinate planning activities with a team of other planners to assure continuity of work and efficiency of planning; maintain an effective interface with various fleet organizations relative to engineering and technical issues; perform walk-down equipment in various type plants including conventional, combined cycle, and solar generating facilities; and manage large quantities of planning assignments at multiple plants with definitive due dates for deliverables. Requirements:

  • Power plant maintenance & troubleshooting experience
  • IBM Maximo or similar software, SAP, Excel PowerPivot, and Microsoft Business Intelligence
  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE with hours
  • Proficiency in technical writing and procedure writing techniques
  • Experience with power generation systems and infrastructure equipment related mainly to boilers, HRSG's and high energy piping systems.
