Position Purpose: Working under supervision, responsible for performing tasks involved in the physical and logical movement of materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs production control inventory (PCI) activities, to include the monitoring of the physical and logical movement of material, reconciling differences, auditing the scanning processes, inserting corrective action plans on process breakdowns, and assisting the production control planners in the conduct of physical inventories. Performs cycle count process activities to include preparing count sheets, monitoring the counting process, collecting results, conducting data input of results, trouble-shooting errors, identifying process failures, and initiating corrective action plans. Performs Kanban activities to include executing the change process, managing the changes in resupply and on the manufacturing floor, trouble shooting label transaction errors, project manage manufacturing line moves, initiating resizing project to up- or down-sizing of inventories, reconciling process breakdowns and initiating corrective actions. Participates in production management team (PMT) activities to include statusing all shortages reported in the PMT database, evaluating where to find the needed material, ordering hot material, processing the material and ensuring it is delivered in a timely manner; trouble-shooting process breakdowns and initiating corrective actions. Assists with production control planning activities to include executing job releases, hot part ordering, and assisting the manufacturing line on materials issues. May perform duties of a discrepant material report (DMR) coordinator including the logical transactions and the physical movement of material.

Scope: Performs transactions for the logical movement of material versus the physical movement; evaluates shortages and assists in managing shortages. Complexity: First of three levels within the Materials Analyst job family. Works on projects that are fairly routine in nature.

Interaction: Interacts with Expedite Parts Team, production control planners, inventory control buyers, and manufacturing personnel to manage shortages.

Knowledge: Requires knowledge of APICS fundamentals. Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills, basic reading and writing skills, strong math skills and good communication skills.

Education and Experience: Incumbent typically will have the following requirements: HS diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years of related experience. Preferred: 2+ years inventory, receiving/warehouse distribution experience preferably in a high-tech environment.

Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm

Wage: $17/hr
