Solid Power, Inc. is seeking an experienced Laboratory Maintenance Technician. Ownership of equipment and facility maintenance, repair, and on‐the‐spot troubleshooting support will be the primary focus of daily activities. This role is a key position on a growing team that supports the success of R&D and production alike.

Job Duties:

Assist or lead in the assembly, operation, and maintenance of new and existing laboratory equipment and plant infrastructure.

Keep track of maintenance schedules for all equipment using software and scheduling tools.

Support Quality with calibration for equipment and / or coordinate with Solid Power staff and contractors where applicable.

Routinely refurbish and/or rework used or decommissioned equipment.

Maintain end‐to‐end lifecycle documentation for inventory of equipment/assets at Solid Power.

Contribute toward the development of new procedures and improved general practices.

Communication of results of work through effective data collection and management, documentation, and presentations to supervisors.

Routinely handle or work around hazardous materials; maintain current HAZWOPER and other relevant training.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in a technical discipline or related discipline and 5+ years of experience in a lab or manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of industry safety and reliability standards. Hazmat training preferred.

General maintenance/repair/troubleshooting experience with utility and infrastructure support equipment such as pumps, compressors, chillers, inert gas distribution, electrical distribution/implementation, etc.

Structured problem‐solving and analytical skills.

Rapid learner who thrives in a fast‐paced start‐up environment.

Ability to work and complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight.

Ability to seek out and/or anticipate issues or needs for smooth plant operation.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Experience working with glove‐boxes, battery testing equipment, vacuum pumps, balances of varying sensitivity, mixers, and/or various analytical tools is desired.

Forklift operator certification desired.

Familiarity with facilities and infrastructure data monitoring and interpretation (i.e. Inert gas usage, BMS).

The candidate must be responsible and self‐motivated, with a history of stable employment and performance.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
