Maintenance Tech/Production Assistant

Irving Farm Coffee is looking for a talented Maintenance Technician/Production Assistant to join our team in Millerton, NY.

Objectives for this role

Provide maintenance for building and equipment at large.

Support production leader with day to day production as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities

Day-to-day

Manage maintenance/inspection schedules for factory equipment

Inspect equipment, building and systems to identify any issues

Repair faulty equipment units and structures

Manage heating and plumbing systems

Maintain inventory for equipment repairs/maintenance and building supplies

Load and unload freight at the roastery:

Operate the forklift and maintain a current Forklift Safety Certification

Update coffee inventory management software

Provide backup and support

Support production operations when needed at the discretion of the Director of Production

Packaging orders and organizing

Preparing orders for shipment

Maintenance/Roaster Technician Requirements

General Computer proficiency - Knowledge of Cropster a plus

Minimum 2 years of experience in similar role

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

Advance understanding of of maintenance procedures and techniques

Effective problem solving abilities

Excellent verbal communication skills

Heavy lifting - minimum 80lbs

Ability to work in extreme heat

Ability to stand for long periods - up to 8 hours

Employment Type - Part Time

Compensation - $20 per Hour

Schedule - 7am - 3pm or as needed for emergencies
