Epcor Foundry, a division of Seilkop Industries, Inc. known for its innovation, financial strength, and exceptional reputation for quality, has an opportunity for a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician. Epcor Foundry is a progressive green sand Foundry focused on medium to high volume production of complex aluminum castings. In this key role, the Maintenance Tech will provide support to the production lines by repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. This may include, but not limited to, such equipment as motors, welding, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems. Also involves use of hand and power tools. In downtime situations, must be able to analyze cause of breakdown of equipment and determine and carryout maintenance of repair actions required to return the equipment to effective operating conditions.

This position will initially start on 1st shift, and move to 2nd shift after training.

Key Operational responsibilities:

Work Safely by following OSHA and Epcor’s safety procedures (Lockout, Fall Protection)

Trouble shoot and repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, air operated and electrical components and equipment

Perform preventative maintenance (Greasing, oiling, and complete check sheets)

Communicate with your manager about any issues that arise on shift

Job Requirements:

Commitment to safety and a willingness to learn and comply with all safety aspects of the job.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Ability to work professionally in a team environment and to effectively manage a diverse work load.

A desire to continually improve individually and as a team

Diagnoses equipment for cause of malfunction.

Have basic understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical equipment

Ability to make minor electrical repairs (Change fuses, motors, lighting and relays).

Perform preventative maintenance.

Have the ability to fabricate and weld simple projects.

Excellent attendance record.

Willing to work flexible hours; ability to work overtime at the end of shift if necessary to have equipment running for following shift.

Performs other related duties as required.

Provide basic hand tools.

Experience:

1 Year previous industrial maintenance experience required.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
