Description Own the mechanical architecture from concept through all stages of development to production Layout architectures to solve complex electromechanical challenges with moving mechanisms in a medical consumer product Define subsystem interfaces and ensure the designs are robust and testable Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, working closely with electrical, firmware, and manufacturing engineering Partner with industrial design and product teams in the invention and development of a next-gen device and suite of new products Interact with external resources for various disciplines and reinforce appropriate constraints Internalize and mobilize key learnings from an iterative design cycle Experience designing mechanical systems with multiple actuators Consumer hardware and/or medical product experience Out-of-the-box thinker who sees opportunities and solutions, where others see roadblocks Relish challenging the status quo and pushing the boundaries of what's possible 10+ years of mechanical design experience, specifically durable real-time electro-mechanical systems BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent Experience in design for manufacturability, especially injection molding Experience dealing with overseas suppliers and contract manufacturers Outstanding communication skills, self-starter with infectious enthusiasm, energy and problem-solving abilities Driven and motivated to grow with a top-tier team Work cross-functionally with the different teams.
