MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

WinCup is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team! This position is full-time with Insurance benefits (including free life insurance), two weeks of Paid Time Off and nine (9) Holidays). The work hours will vary based on plant needs, shifts include day, swing, and graveyard. We offer competitive pay and shift differential pay.

Position Summary:

Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for the troubleshooting and maintenance adjustments of production and packaging equipment to ensure all equipment is operating at optimum efficiency with minimal scrap. High urgency, critical thinking, and strong mechanical aptitude are required for this position.

Functions:

Performs timely mechanical checks on all assigned equipment to ensure proper adjustments are maintained.

Maintains established cycle settings on assigned machines to ensure production quality with minimal scrap.

Comply with all safety rules, policies, procedures and practices to include performing LOTO of production equipment when required.

Performs equipment evaluations at the start of the shift to ensure production flow is consistent throughout.

Diagnose and determine cause for machine malfunctions along with making troubleshooting adjustments to assigned machines.

Answer all buzzers and bells with the highest sense of urgency to ensure production is not interrupted.

Perform all assigned quality tests on baggers, packaged products, film, print, etc. to inspect for defects and malfunctions every hour. Must document findings on the inspector checklist.

Physical Demands:

Work an 8+ or 12+ hour shift while sitting, standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, grasping, use hands to finger, grasp with hands and arms, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and lifting throughout the entire shift. Requires the manual movement of items that weight up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Exposed to extreme heat. In-doors in a manufacturing environment that is not air conditioned.

Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles

Wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards.

Work an 8+ or 12+ hour day shift

Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime.

Qualifications:

Education – High School Diploma or GED preferred

Experience – High sense of urgency is required for this position.

Must have a sound mechanical aptitude. Two years maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Skills:

Basic computer skills.

Must be ability to read, write and speak English.

Good oral and written communication skills.
