PROCESS CHEMIST

Job duties: The Process Chemist will perform analytical testing of raw materials, mill processes, and pulp using validated test procedures to support improvements in quality, cost and efficiency; produce lab work that meets QA/QC standards; operate, maintain and calibrate lab equipment; trouble-shoot process issues as needed; conduct periodic lab work for environmental compliance.

Position also requires the ability to work independently, adapt to changing conditions, and manage competing priorities; ability to perform work in all areas of the mill in various weather conditions; safe handling of hazardous materials; some overtime and weekends needed.

Job related background: 4-year degree in chemistry or related science field preferred; experience performing general forms of analytical testing in a controlled setting. Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferred.
