Position Title: PRODUCTION LEAD

Basic Functions of Position:

Supervise laser and press brake employee's and projects.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Under guidance and direction of the Operations Manager, supervise production staff on daily operations and work schedules.

2. Complete departmental new employee basic training (time clocks, job travelers, schedules, etc)

3. Review daily project workload and manage department manpower to complete projects on time and within budget.

4. Supervise department employee base under Plant Manager and Company Handbook guidance.

5. Maintain Lean Kit with up-to-date information and attend daily production meetings as set by management.

6. Understand and follow company goals such as the W.I.G. and implement under guidance of the Plant Manager.

7. Track and report current project status to Project Managers and Operations Manager when required.

8. Work with Purchasing Manager and Plant Manager to order equipment and processing materials when required.

9. Follow company inventory procedures and supervise under guidance of Operations Manager and Materials Manager.

10. Adhere to company Quality Control procedures and supervise processing department work and employees to minimize any and all rework.

11. Supervise and maintain processing equipment and assets.

12. Any and all other tasks assigned by the Plant Manager.

Physical Requirements / Environment:

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Primarily indoor work environment, requiring light to moderate physical activity as well as at times, sitting for extended periods in an office setting.

Able to operate metal processing equipment such as lasers and/or press brakes, drill presses, forklifts, PEM machines.

Education / Experience:

High School education or equivalent required.

Reading, basic math, writing skills and computer entry knowledge required. Able to read English SAE and metric tape measures as well as calipers.

Minimum (5) years' experience in the field of metal production/ processing.

Minimum (2) years' experience in supervision and/or management.

Full understanding of industry materials, blueprint reading, metal fabrication and welding practices.

Full understanding and aptitude with computers and software such as Microsoft Office.

Valid driver's license.
