Production Operator

Our client, a local manufacturing facility that takes pride in offering standardized, premium quality herbal and botanical extracts for functional food, beverage and dietary supplement is seeking both a day and night shift Extraction Operator to join their team. This is a direct hire opportunity!

The Extraction Operator is responsible for the execution of all processes involved with the production of tea extract products. This includes but is not limited to offloading, preparing and loading raw materials, start up and shut down of extractors, boiler and cooling units, monitoring and recording extraction operations, properly storing materials and products, general clean-up using mildly caustic cleaning agents and providing QC and lab personnel with material and product samples for testing.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

Stage raw materials for the various production processes and follow production procedures

Operate and clean industrial blenders, distillation tanks, spray dryer and other equipment

Monitor and regulate control panels using WinCC and other various operating systems

Pack and re-pack food-grade materials and prepare outgoing shipments and samples to customers

Maintain daily logs of production and SOP’s

Maintain workspace cleanliness and clean spills upon detection

Follow all GMP, Food Safety and Quality Programs

Required Knowledge

Ability to perform accurate weight measurements

Ability to perform mathematical conversions and read charts

Ability to work overtime including nights and weekends when business needs require

Ability to perform troubleshooting and minor mechanical equipment adjustments

Ability to read, write and produce legible written documentation

Experience with WinCC or other SCADA systems a plus

Minimum Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates that have 2 plus years of production experience, basic computer skills and the desire to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment.
