Job shop machinist.

What we are looking for: We are looking for self-motivated and eager to learn employee’s that understand their work not only affects them, but all of the other employees, and the company as a whole. People who possess a hardworking, friendly, and cooperative attitude. Experience in welding, wiring, assembly, design, management, processing, machining.

Requirements: High School Diploma/GED, trade school, industrial school, appropriate military school, or compatible credit coursework.

- (5) Years verifiable & recent work experience as a journeyman level Machinist.

-Responsible for the set up and operation of various manual machines.

- Manufacturing of high tolerance complex parts per drawing specifications.

-Must understand “machine to fit” on protype parts.

- Excellent Mechanical Aptitude.

Must pass an competency assessment to include: Measuring outside diameters, bores and depths using micrometers & depth micrometers.

- Operate manual mill and lathe, manufacture parts with the following attributes: concentricity, parallelism and perpendicularity, while maintaining tight tolerances.

- Demonstrate knowledge of tapping, boring, and single point threading processes.

General duties: Operate a variety of machinery including: conventional lathes, mills, drills, grinders, as required for the manufacture and repair of various parts, assemblies and components.

- May include lifting and carrying of material up to 50 pounds.

- Must have tool box and hand/measuring tools.

- Reliable transportation required.

- Verifiable work history required.

- Must Read and Speak English.

Work shift: Standard shop hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Occasional overtime.
