Assistant woodwork production manager

We are seeking an experienced cabinetmaker/woodworker with managing skills to join our woodworking team! In addition to working as a cabinetmaker, you will assist the general foreman and oversee the activities of a team of production workers and shipping and receiving department.

Responsibilities:

Assist in coordinating the daily activities of the production and operation teams and solving any issues

Ensure all purchases arrive in timely manner, good communication with purchasing department and ship & rec personnel

Coordinate schedule of shipments: excellent communication between production team, project managers and drivers

Inspect all materials and finished projects before packing and shipping

Qualifications:

Previous experience in woodwork/millwork manufacturing facility - min 5 years

Excellent knowledge of blue prints, woodworking, tools and equipment

Strong leadership qualities and ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines

Good written and verbal communication skills

Needs to be a team player

Needs to be details oriented, positive, solid, mature and reliable
