Homestead Building Systems is searching for Skilled Production Laborers at their facility in Orange, VA.

If you have the ability to use hand tools and measuring tools, we want to hear from you! Any experience in construction, manufacturing, production, and/or skilled trades is welcome!

Hours – Typical hours are Monday through Thursday, 6am-4:30pm. Some Fridays and Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities:

Inserts individual pre-cut wood parts into an assembly machine or jig to create a wood truss

Runs Gantry press over the assembled truss to embed fasteners into the wood members

Lifts and pulls the finished truss from the assembly machine onto the outbound rollers

May read and need to understand Wall Panel Elevation drawings

Assists the lumber and receiving teams with receiving and unloading trucks

Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; stocking saws

Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards

Assists in counting of physical inventory

Prepares parcels for shipping

Maintains a clean workspace and assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the production facility

Obeys and always observes proper safety procedures

Wears the proper safety equipment

All other duties as assigned
