Manufacturing Associate Bulb Division

Miltec UV is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Associate to join our Bulb Division as a Quartz Fabricator Trainee.

Job Summary:

Perform manufacturing and production processes in Bulb Division that require entry-level quartz fabrication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

Learn the manufacturing processes, procedures, and techniques required to assume duties and responsibilities of Quartz Fabricator

Learn entry-level quartz fabrication techniques, and the operation of manual lathes, automated equipment, manual or electronic test and inspection tools

Learn proper use of oxygen/ propane torches

Follow published Work Instructions and Procedures

Inspection and Testing of quartz fabrications using required tools, fixtures and gauges

Observe, recognize and promote safe shop practices

Record keeping in either written or electronic format

Organization and cleanliness of work environment is a must!

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma

Ability to communicate on technical matters

Good manual dexterity in handling of small objects & tools and attention to detail

Good eye sight (corrected or uncorrected) and color differentiation ability

Ability to lift 25 lbs. from floor to bench height

Ability to learn the use of hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment

Basic understanding of computer operation, including MS Office applications

Additional Attributes:

Associates Degree

Welding experience is a plus!

Experience working with manual forming/handling of glass a plus!
