App Report Writer

About the role:

As an app report writer, you break down and analyze new mobile game releases and trends to provide insights for game developers. Your analysis will draw on research from a variety of sources, including game design theory, academic studies, market reports, and more. You will work as part of a team to publish your insights in highly polished weekly reports.

The ideal applicant:

Writes well.

Learns fast, takes initiative, and pays attention to details.

Has a solid understanding of game design.

Can summarize and analyze games to create informative reports for game developers.

Knows how to perform research in a wide range of fields.

Isn’t afraid of some light number-crunching.

Is familiar with Google Docs.

No professional experience necessary, but you will need to write at a professional level.

This is a remote contract position for consistent, ongoing work.

About the company:

Liquid & Grit provides analysis and recommendations to mobile game companies. We break down games, features, and content in apps like Slotomania, Candy Crush Saga, Summoners War, and many more. We are located in California but have an entirely remote workforce.

Hiring process:

At Liquid & Grit, use tests to ensure that we hire on abilities and not biases. There are four tests. The final test is paid, and the process takes less than two weeks.

The tests are a good representation of what you would be doing for us. If hired, you’ll then have a several week “trial period” as we continue to evaluate your abilities.
