Seeking Tier II Desktop Tech Support role for a client in the Financial Services Industry. Time sensitive opening. Please respond ASAP!
  • Stafford, TX location - (Please note this role will be REMOTE TO START) zip 77477
  • This role will be on site REMOTE FOR THE INITIAL PART OF THE PROJECT, THIS ROLE WILL BECOME Onsite on a TBD date.
  • Duration: TILL 7/30/2021 + Potential extensions.
  • This role is Wednesday to Sunday - 5 days - 40 hour work week. Office Hours

Hirng Manager notes: Familiar with Ticket Tracking Systems (Remedy, Service Point) Support for Backend processing/client support and file processing Create an incidence and tracking resolution Understanding of Windows directory structure, Linux is a nice-to-have Knowledge of file processing and troubleshoot failures in a file Reading logs

Job DescriptionComputer Operator Job Duties: Must be able to communicate technical situations in person and by phone to non-technical people. Must be able to speak, read and write English Understand Windows command (DOS) prompt commands Use Windows Programs (Word/Excel/Access/etc). Understand network directory structures and be able to navigate them using the command prompt and Windows Explorer Must be able to work in an air-conditioned room with temperatures between 70 to 74 degrees for entire shift excluding break and lunch times Understand the difference between a batch process versus an executable Be able to document technical processes in a ticket tracking system. Be able to analyze root causes of problems during program processing Must be able to adapt to a continuously changing environment with many different things going on simultaneously. Must be able to monitor remote systems via Stafford Data Processing location for entire scheduled shift Maintains operations by monitoring error and stoppage messages; observing peripheral equipment; entering commands to correct errors and stoppages Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and accept responsibility for their outcome Must be disciplined enough to follow strict policies and procedures. Work independently but function in a fast pace team environment Resolves user problems by answering questions and requests in a timely manner Learn the necessary job functions and be able to work alone after six months of on the job training Demonstrate technical analytical ability Education: 2-year college degree preferred or 3 years of Computer Operator experience Data Processing, Data Center Experience, Informing Others, Reporting Skills, Supply Management, Independence, Productivity, Confidentiality, Documentation Skills, Equipment Maintenance, Problem Solving
