We Are Hiring: We are hiring for a Nursing Assitant for Med Surg. This is a Full Time position with a work schedule of 6p-6a; weekend and holidays included.Ascension St. Joseph Hospital is a non-profit healthcare system that is governed by a local board of trustees represented by residents, medical staff and sister sponsorship's and has been providing medical care since 1953. What You Will Do: Assist with basic patient care activities.

  • Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Assist in providing care appropriate to population specific facilitating timely and individualized care of assigned patients.
  • Assist patients with tending to personal care, activities of daily living and transfer/transport.
  • Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Assist with keeping patient rooms clean and orderly.
What You Will Need: Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred: Certified Nursing Assitant Certification is preferred.
