Job Position : Project manager/ Program Manager Location : Santa Monica CA Long Term Contract Role Description: We are is looking for a Senior IT Program/Project Manager to manage IT programs related to supply chain management solutions and other Pharma IT initiatives. This consultant will work under the IT PMO.Lead large Pharma-related IT projects and programs covering multiple enterprise-scale technologies and platforms surrounding pharma manufacturing, supply chain, productivity, infrastructure, and other IT areasThe PM must excel at working with and coordinating a large number of business and IT stakeholdersBackground in in the Pharma/Biotech Industry is requestedExemplary communication skills that build & establish business relationshipsOutstanding ability to manage relationships and balance customer, project, organization, and team needs to ensure mutually beneficial outcomesExcellent consultative skills and ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior organizational leadersPossesses strong strategic orientation, analytical skills, critical thinking ability, and evaluate broad impacts of workDemonstrated leadership capability, including ability to lead, influence, and motivate others in the work groupProven ability to work with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative even under unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstanceProven aptitude to adapt to changesBe the primary point of coordination between the Business Stakeholders, PMO, IT Leadership and the various technology teamsPresent progress reports and updates and at appropriate intervals to multiple levels in the organization, from technology teams to executive managementProvide resource and financial plans to complete the project on time and within budgetManage schedule, risks and issues using standard project management toolsKnowledge, Experience and SkillsAt Least 8 years of experience in program and/or project managementPrior experience with IT in pharma industry is idealBachelor's degree with a life science, business, or technical background is desirablePMP certification is a plus, but prior success on the job is most criticalPrior experience with managing technology projects in Pharma/Life Science manufacturing, GxP and qualified/validated systems is a big plusHas a track record of thriving in high-visibility, highly interactive roles with senior business stakeholdersCandidates must have very strong and polished communications and business interfacing skills as a strict requirementPossesses seasoned expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques and financial managementPossesses in-depth understanding of the SDLC and how to apply it to relevant projectsDemonstrates in-depth knowledge of IT functions and servicesIs flexible, calm under pressure, highly communicative, and comfortable taking ownership in ambiguous situationsHas track record of successful integration across multiple and complex technologies and systemsPossesses strong communication skills and is savvy working with both technology and business partners across the organization in a collaborative way
