Job Description- experienced data scientist to join our Translation group, that sits within the clinical development organization. The candidate will advance the translation of multi-dimensional molecular data from discovery to development and then reverse-translate clinical biomarker data back to inform discovery pipelines and strategy. The successful candidate will nurture close collaborations between discovery and development teams, interpret candidate biomarkers and contribute to large-scale meta-analyses across trials and indications. Specific job responsibilities include, but not limited to overseeing NGS and other complex multiplex biomarker analysis, data integration across public and proprietary domains and applying cutting-edge technologies and analytic approaches to characterize the molecular mechanisms of therapeutic response in individual cancer patients aiding potential patient selection and mechanism of action studies.Role & Responsibilities

  • Application and development of computational methods for analyses of longitudinal multi-omic, biomarker, and clinical data to characterize patients' response to treatment
  • Development of innovative analytic approaches to integrate and visualize complex clinical datasets
  • Interaction with clinicians, project managers, data engineers, and other scientists to facilitate progression of projects across milestones
  • Collaboration on the design and execution of molecular biomarker profiling studies in oncology clinical trials
  • Exploratory data analysis of molecular features and clinical variables to discover biomarkers of response/resistance to therapy
  • Communication of key findings to trial teams and diverse group of scientistsApplication of biostatistics and supervised machine learning methods across datasets from multiple clinical trials to gain actionable biological insights
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
Skills & Qualifications
  • PhD with 5+ years of pharma/biotech experience in Bioinformatics/Computational biology or Data science teams
  • Facility with Python, R, SQL, linux systems; SAS a plus
  • Experience with building and executing NGS analysis pipelines and performing integrative analysis across biomarkers and clinical readouts
  • In-depth knowledge of molecular biology, oncology pathways and gene regulation is highly desirable
  • Experience and exposure to molecular biology technologies and platforms (e.g. NGS, multi-omic platforms)
  • Exposure to building clinical data SOPs to formalize data processing pipelines to support publication or communication with external entities
  • Knowledge of SEND, SDTM, ADaM data standards
  • Proven ability to work in cross functional teams and being able to communicate across both discovery and clinical units
  • Highly analytical mind, attention to detail, and organization skills are critical
  • Collaborative and proactive attitude with excellent written and oral communication skills
