Title: Capital Procurement Consultant

Location: Lexington, MA (Remote during COVID)

Duration: 6+ Month contract

About the Role: Understanding CAPEX projects to which procurement support services will be performed, roles and responsibilities within the Project Team. Where applicable, taking over CAPEX projects and related procurement tasks from the former project procurement lead finishing his engagement.

Your Main Responsibilities:
  • Meeting the Global and Site Procurement Representatives, understanding roles and responsibilities within the Team. Understanding procurement support model applied for CAPEX projects.
  • Alignment on tasks with highest urgency with the Global and Site Procurement Representatives and responsible project managers and subject matter experts.
  • Continuous cooperation with the relevant business functions and project management functions, key stakeholders, early indication of requirements towards specifications, bill of quantities, supplier communication, etc.
  • Solid and well-working relationship with the engineering and project management function, specifications developed in line with the procurement requirements enabling competitive selection processes.
  • Sourcing events to be prepared with in the Ariba E-Sourcing system if the purchasing value requires using the Ariba E- Sourcing system (over 100,000 USD).
  • Request for Proposal (RFP) documents, Price Sheets, draft MSAs prepared, RFPs ready to launch. Checking the contract database for existing and potential new master services agreements.
  • Preparing the Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements to be signed by suppliers / Get Confidentiality Agreements signed by suppliers.
  • Development and updating of the Procurement Planning Table based on the Equipment and Services List of the Project, indicating key milestones related to each purchase, potential suppliers, status information, etc.
  • Evaluation Matrix relevant to the particular tenders established with due consideration of technical, commercial and legal needs.
  • Evaluation Matrix discussed and aligned with the affected disciplines.
  • Negotiation strategies established and aligned.
  • Closing contracts with suppliers (if applicable).

Required Experience/Skills:
  • 5+ Years' experience in Capital Procurement- experience purchasing capital equipment (i.e., isolators, vessels, tanks)
  • 5+ years in Engineering design services Procurement
  • 5+ years in Construction services Procurement - (i.e., construction contractors, mechanical, electrical)
  • Recent experience within Pharmaceutical or Biotech companies
