Role: SAP IT Manager

Role

As the company’s Information Technology Manager, will manage a small team of 2-3 employees, includes one desktop support in LaGrange, one SAP Business Analyst, three contract SAP Programmers that support homegrown custom manufacturing systems and SAP support systems while collaborating with the European team and shared resources in India to design, implement & deploy business solutions built on SAP & other homegrown systems to achieve defined business goals. Manufacturing industry knowledge is a must. Knowledge of SAP will be a huge plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with Service Owners and Business systems Analysts to design, support, and other IT applications teams to deliver high-quality business solutions
  • Manage SAP application developers and IT Infrastructure team
  • Should be able to perform GAP analysis of existing systems and assist with the creation of best practices to optimize usage of existing systems.
  • Participate in the requirement gathering process for new software and business functionality to ensure that definitions of new functionality are clearly defined and understood

In order to be successful in this role, candidates need to have:Experience leading Information Technology teams with a passion for technology and solving technical challenges with 7+ years of experience managing IT application development & Systems support teams in a very fast paced environment with critical deadlines.
  • Understanding SAP and Non-SAP system landscape/architecture and Identifying gaps in system and business processes.
  • Experience working with offshore development rationalizing development work and leading execution.
  • Manage service providers and internal teams resources onshore/offshore.
  • Leading work through constant and clear communication, strong leadership, and development of relationships amongst team members, client peer group, and all stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric and Service-minded skills with an ability to interact with all levels of business users (end-users/executives).

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required. Degree in Computer Science preferred but will consider candidates with the right amount of experience to perform the job as described above.
