Service Assistant

Job Title: Service Assistant

Reports to: Service Manager

Type: Full time year round hourly wage position

General Description: Key position with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Provide administrative assistance to the Service Manager.

Act as first contact for service customers via telephone and in person in a manner that creates a trusting relationship thereby promoting customer retention and loyalty.

Act as liaison between customer, manufacturer reps and technicians.

Input and track work orders. Enter technicians’ and yard team’s labor times in work orders. Ensure accuracy and correctness of all data entry on work orders.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Work Experience Required:

Integrity and strong work ethic.

Excellent customer service skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written.

Ability to multi-task

Computer proficiency to include Internet, Microsoft Office products

Retail sales experience in the marine services industry is a plus.

Working knowledge of parts and supplies used in the maintenance and repair of commercial and pleasure boats or automotive industry is a plus.

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
