Job Title: Software Test Engineer II

Location: Oakland, CA or Alpharetta, GA

Duration: Long Term Contract

MUST Skill- Strong in SQL and Database Testing, Testing Oracle Financials Release 11i and above modules; Test tracking tools such as Mercury Quality Center or equivalent;

Detailed Description: Conduct software testing of Oracle applications, third-party software, in-house developed software, distributed client server and web-based products for dental insurance carrier. Work closely with Business Analysts, Development Team and Business Clients to develop test strategies and test plans. Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing for assigned projects, including review and regression test problem resolution. Analyze, define and document issues and defects discovered during testing. Develop and execute test cases. Support production support team in troubleshooting and resolution of production issues. May be assigned to various projects utilizing skills.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related Software Engineer or Programmer Analyst position. Experience and/or education must include: 1. Software Quality Assurance techniques; 2. N-tier architecture experience, including Windows, Unix, Java and Web environments; 3. Databases and SQL experience; 4. Testing Oracle applications customization, configuration and vendor patches;5. Testing Oracle Financials Release 11i and above modules; 6. Preparation of Functional and Technical test plans, test strategy and test execution; 7. Test tracking tools such as Mercury Quality Center or equivalent; and 8. Testing non-Oracle business applications, including J2EE applications and Reporting Applications. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
