ResponsibilitiesPerspecta is immediately seeking a Power BI developer to support the Geospatial Research, Analysis and Services Program (GRASP), which is a program within the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). GRASP is responsible for geospatial analysis, research, and technology as applied to diverse public health domains including environmental health, site-specific exposure, infectious and chronic disease, injury, and emergency preparedness and response. GRASP works with ATSDR, other Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) centers/institutes/offices, state/local health organizations, other federal agencies, international governments, academia, and advocacy groups.The main roles and responsibilities of this Power BI developer position are as follows:• Power BI development and administration.• Building Analysis Services reporting models.• Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.• Connecting to data sources, importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.• Excellent in analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.• Able to implement row level security on data and have an understanding of application security layer models in Power BI.• Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop.• Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set.• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation.• Able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with warehouse standards.• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements.• Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.• Should have knowledge and experience in prototyping, designing, and requirement analysis.• Able to integrate Power BI reports into other applications using embedded analytics like Power BI service (SaaS), or by API automation, and must be experienced in developing custom visuals for Power BI.

QualificationsRequires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.The Power BI developer should have the following experience:• Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and other JavaScript libraries.• Should be familiar and experienced in SQL.• Understand entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).• Work with development teams using Agile methodologies.• Participate in oral and written communications, as needed, to interface with the diverse and multi-disciplinary GRASP staff.• Familiarity with ArcGIS Maps for Power BI a plus.Qualifications Required:• 5+ years (or 3+ years with an advanced degree) of experience in application development• Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.Education:• Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. If the position applied to is not located in Colorado, the following information may not apply.Salary Minimum: $63,689.60 Salary Maximum:$136,177.60 The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the Perspecta salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Perspecta's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
