Production Planning Manager is responsible for forecasting production demand, planning, coordinating and controlling the Focus Factories processes to meet financial and customer delivery requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities (Indicates an Essential Function) Determines production requirements based on the Sales forecast, Focus Factory capacities, production specifications and new product development/introduction. Measures and analyzes project performance against project plan and objectives. Develops the production forecast and oversees the attendant Focus Factory schedules. Delegates tasks and provides supervision, mentoring, and guidance to Production Planners responsible for the planning and scheduling of each Focus Factory. Monitors production status at the process and project level to meet billing milestones, ready to load dates and financial commitments. Conducts daily meetings to track schedule status, resolve production issues and identify production risks that could affect inventory WIP. Champions Lean Initiatives, develops and follows through with long term process improvements to increase business efficiencies. Follows safety guidelines (PPE, etc.) and demonstrates safe work practices. Accepts responsibility and accountability for his/her actions. Managerial tasks including: Recruiting, hiring, and training staff. Maintaining regular, ongoing communication with staff. Evaluating employee performance. This includes disciplinary action. Adhering to established company policies, procedures and practices to ensure staff meet expectations. This position is required to work on-site, at the facility, full-time during business hours. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field along with 7 years' experience in a high-volume manufacturing operation. Strong background and experience utilizing an ERP system. Extensive computer experience working with MS Office; strong Excel skills are required. Hands on experience with forecasting and budgeting. Demonstrated ability to lead a team. Possess strong, independent problem-solving skills. Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.
