You re an extension of our talent acquisition team always scouting top talent to join our team.The Manager, Cloud Operations is an integral member of CBORD/Horizon s DevOps team. They re responsible to administer a mixed Windows and Linux environment, providing key insights and resolution paths to improve system performance, uptime and security. Cloud Operations Manager define monitoring standards for critical systems and lead the team in the design and execution of compliant systems governance protocols. Additionally, the Cloud Operations Manager regularly communicates with CBORD/Horizon s development and QA teams regarding system performance associated with recent code or infrastructure changes.

What You ll be Doing
  • Oversee regular operations and prioritize response and resolution tasks
  • Implement and execute system governance protocols including patch, and update deployment in development, staging, and production environments
  • Define and implement monitoring standards for hosted infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to system resource utilization, database performance metrics, vulnerabilities and uptime against established SLA
  • Assist internal stakeholders from CBORD s Development, QA, Professional Services and Support teams in identifying bottlenecks created through resource constraints, configuration or coding
  • Define and implement standard disaster recovery and failover processes across all environments
  • Monitor and/or execute changes to systems including patch application, version upgrades, and infrastructure changes
  • Analyze database performance and define maintenance plans
  • Model infrastructure growth based on resource utilization
  • Architect customer private clouds according to industry best practices

What You ll Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
  • 6 years of experience as a System Administrator preferred
  • 4 years Web server administration (Linux and Windows) experience
  • 4 years of experience administrating Relational Database Systems
  • Windows and Linux administration experience required
  • AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
  • Experience in a PCI and HIPAA compliant environment highly desired
  • Ability to focus on details and follow through on complex projects
  • Interpret and/or discuss information with others, which involves terminology or concepts not familiar to many people
  • Strong understanding of networking technologies and secure communication protocols
  • Familiarity with IIS, Apache Tomcat and one or more relational database system (PostgreSQL,MySQL, and Microsoft SQL Server)
  • Strong Shell scripting skills, preferably with Python, Bash and PowerShell
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under minimal supervision

What s Good to Know
  • Scheduled night and weekend work is required, sometimes with little advanced notice
  • Occasional travel, usually no more than 5-15 days per year
