Eventually, the position will be on site.Job SummaryDesigns, implements and supports the full lifecycle of high-performance systems, software, services and solutions in support of data science initiatives in both academic programs and research.Responsibilities1. Responsible for designing and implementing the full lifecycle of data science tools and data analytics platforms in support of analytic data warehouse, academic programs and research, ensuring quality, security, stability, integrity and recoverability2. Contributes to building data models for analytical purposes3. Designs, builds and maintains tools that automate common tasks that serve both technical support staff and data scientists4. Provides tools, guidance and assistance to students and faculty to help them effectively manage their code and data5. Diagnoses and resolves complex problems spanning multiple systems6. Manages SAS 9.4, Viya, Tableau and other designated environments7. Develops and maintains documentation of systems, services, processes, and procedures8. Works closely with infrastructure engineers to plan and design infrastructure for the delivery of data analytics services, along with ensuring the security and integrity of systems, software and data9. Works with stakeholders and security professionals to securely transfer, transform and manage data10. Assists in supporting students, faculty and staff on the use of data analytics systems and tools as necessary11. Mentors and provides support to staff Required Qualifications

Educational RequirementsBachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Computer Science, Information Systems, a science or engineering discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Required ExperienceFive (5) years of related IT experience demonstrating a progression of increasing responsibility including experience supporting complex software platforms in a Linux environmentPreferred Qualifications
