Shelba D Johnson Trucking is currently seeking warehouse associates for our two Thomasville, NC Facilities. You will work with a team of strong leaders in a fast-paced warehousing environment loading and unloading furniture with a semi consistent work schedule on a single shift.

Responsibilities include:

Unloading containers loads of furniture using a hand truck and a manual pallet jack and pallets

Sorting furniture

Counting to verify number of cartons received

Moving products into warehouse bay

Locate and pull items for outbound shipments

Scan items picked and stage in shipping bay

Arrange staged freight on pallet for level balanced packing

Strap pallet with banding and secure with buckle

Wrapping pallets with stretch wrap

Use pallet jack/hand trucks to stage in shipping bay

Pull freight with hand truck or pallet jack to trailer

Stack freight on trailer in safe and secure manner for safe transport

Secure load and close the door when load is completed

Other special projects as needed.

Sweeping out trailers, warehouse floors and emptying trash cans as needed

Must have:

Strong Attention to detail

Capability to stand and walk for long periods throughout the day

Capability to lift and move over 75 lbs.

Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Drug Test

This Job is:

Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED

Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma

Experience is a plus, but no experience is necessary! Do not be intimidated by the warehousing line of work.
