Position Description: Nutrition Services Director

The Nutrition Services Director plans, directs, organizes, and coordinates the activities of the Nutrition Services Department to provide services to residents as well as facility employees and guests.

Nutrition Services Director responsibilities include:

Managing and developing a team

Scheduling labor / Staff accountability / Payroll

Controlling profit and loss

Maintaining inventory

Ordering food and supplies

Active member of the interdisciplinary team

Menu development / menu creativity

Problem Solving / Quality Assurance

Sanitation Inspections

Resident Interaction via food committees and resident council

Initial resident interviews with new admissions

Building rapport with the client

Ensuring excellent customer service

Among other assigned duties

Minimum Qualifications:

Prior management experience in the food service industry is required

Prior culinary experience required

experience as a dietitian/CDM/diet tech (2-3 years)

Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
