Job Description

SummaryThe Restaurant Manager is responsible for operational, training, and managerial oversight to the Food and Beverage Department in the Limelight Lounge, Banquets, Room Service, the Bar and breakfast service. In addition, provides administrative support to the Food and Beverage Manager as deemed necessary by the manager. This is a working manager position that provides leadership for all personnel directly.

Essential Job Functions Supervises Food and Beverage staff in their work, maintaining high performance levels. Monitors labor costs for food and beverage operations, reporting variations to Food and Beverage Manager Operates as Banquet, Restaurant, Bar Manager at all times Meet with Food and Beverage manager weekly to inform of progress on given projects and to determine future assignments, inspections, and oversees operational areas and storage facilities, etc. Makes financial decisions as it relates to the day by day operation Assist to ensure all labor and expense budgets are followed Act as a liaison between F&B and other departments when exploring new business opportunities, business plans, etc. to analyze viability of new amenities, products, services Communicates daily with F&B Manager, ensuring any urgent requests or issues are brought to light immediately. Enforce and upgrade service standards, procedures and policies. Holds annual and 60-day reviews of all F&B employees Attend and contribute input to bi-weekly Staff meetings and weekly food and beverage meetings. Assist in coordination of room service efforts to assist in banquet operations. Works with Marketing to ensureF&Badvertising and promotional needs are met. Monitorchanges & cancellations of banquet functions and hospitalities. Completes reports, projects and paperwork as assigned on a timely basis. Coordinates with Chef on the presentation ofcurrent menus and wine lists. Assists in ensuring all personnel related responsibilities are documented. Maintains an active presence in the dining room during peak times and to cover days off. Plans and oversee catering and banquet events Places weekly linen order for the food and beverage department based on pars and special needs Places weekly beverage order for the food and beverage department Assists in monitoring Kronosfor Food and Beverage employees in order to accurate conduct payroll. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience in Food & Beverage required 4+ years of experience in hospitality preferred Competent with computer programs such as Microsoft Office required Strong leadership skills Ability to work with numbers required Knowledge of wine, food and cooking methods Strong organizational, communication and supervisory skills Must possess tact and polish required to interact with community leaders, hotel guests, etc.

Supervision given and receivedGiven: Exercises direct supervision over the restaurant staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Received: Works under general supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor’s directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins.

Work Environment and physical demands Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
