Opportunity:

We are looking to grow our water and wastewater service offerings in Oregon, Washington and Wyoming. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced - engineer to join our team and make an impact in the communities in which we live, work, and play.

This position will provide a rewarding opportunity for a person driven to exceed client and firm expectations in the areas of business development, project management, project delivery, undertaking the technical work associated with municipal engineering projects. Project management, client service and team leadership skills are fundamental to this position and the firm’s daily environment.

Project Types: Water, wastewater and stormwater system design for Municipal and Government clients, including main and service extensions, rehabilitation work, pump stations, treatment and facility planning.

Responsibilities:

Build a Water/Wastewater Group in our office by leading business development initiatives (proposal development, interviews, presentations, etc.) and coordinating efforts with other members of the firm’s Water/Wastewater Group.

Develop, foster and maintain strong relationships with present and potential clients.

Build a staff to complete workload and mentor staff from a client service and technical development perspective.

Managing scope, schedule, budget and personnel for projects. Projects include, but are not limited to, planning, design, construction management, scheduling, coordinating detailed phases of studies, investigations and preparation of contract documents, and other components associated with airports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent.

Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Civil and Water/Wastewater Engineering industry serving municipal clients, performing business development tasks, client service management, project management and design engineering tasks. A professional engineering (PE) license is required in the specific state, or the ability to obtain within six months.

Value added skills or certifications depending on experience level could include:

Water distribution, wastewater collection and treatment design

Site civil design

Stormwater design

Construction management experience

Funding and regulatory agency coordination

High level of personal responsibility and accountability. Interpersonal skills to meet and communicate effectively with employees, managers, and clients. Positive attitude and professional bearing. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

This position will require periodic travel and must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

Locations: Bend-Redmond Oregon, Spokane Washington, Casper Wyoming

Relocation allowances are available.
