Job Position: Commercial Roofer
Location: Des Moines
Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience
Knowledge of different types of roofing systems (a plus)
Problem Solving skills
Teamwork skills
Position Summary:
Cover roofs of structure with shingles, slate, asphalt, aluminum, sheet metal, rubber or related materials. May spray roofs, siding and walls with material to bind, seal insulate or soundproof sections of structures. Inspect problem roofs to determine the best repair procedures needed. Repair roofs, including filling in holes, replacing flashing.
Responsibilities:
Cut strips of flashing or other related material to fit angles formed by walls, vents or intersecting roof surfaces. Apply gravel, pebbles over top layers of roof. Apply reflector roofing coating. Inspect roofs for problems. Perform roof tear-offs. Torch down roofs, install different types of roofing structures.
Wage: $14.00 to $25.00 plus (depending on experience)
